World Feed

Privacy

Last updated October 4, 2026

World Feed is a private list of restaurants kept by a small group of coworkers. It isn't a public service: an account only gets in once an admin or moderator approves it. This page says what the app keeps about you, who can see it, and how to have it removed.

What it keeps

  • From your sign-in: your name, email address and profile picture if you use Google, or just your email address if you sign up with a password.
  • What you add: restaurants, visits and their dates, scores, notes and dishes, photos, likes and dislikes, your top three, and any profile details you fill in.
  • When you signed up, and who approved you.

Who can see it

Only approved members. They see your name, picture, and everything you add. Your email address is shown only to admins, and to moderators while your sign-up is waiting for approval.

Your location

Near me asks your browser for your location when you tap it. The distances are worked out on your device; your location is never sent to World Feed or stored.

Services it uses

  • Vercel runs the app.
  • Supabase stores the data and photos, and handles signing in.
  • Google provides sign-in, the map, place search and place photos. What you send them — a search, a map view — is covered by Google's own privacy policy.

What it doesn't do

No ads, no analytics or tracking, and nothing is sold or shared beyond the services above. The only cookie keeps you signed in, and your browser stores a couple of small settings, like whether you've dismissed a tip.

Removing your account

Ask an admin — the person who approved you — and your account and what you've added will be removed. The same goes for questions about anything on this page.
